THE HARDLINE REEFS:
These areas offer some exciting fishing and a variety of species.
You can bottom fish, troll, or jig, the choices are yours.
The Hardline is a group of closely packed reefs approx. 120NM off the coast, forming a natural barrier, with the vast expanse of The Coral Sea on one side and the relatively shallow and protected water on the other side, with deep gutters between the reefs, creating rivers of nutrient rich water, which attracts all types of reef fish, who in turn create a feeding banquet for larger reef and pelagic fish.. The Hardline reefs are visited mainly by long range and extended fishing cruises and as such are not targeted by many other vessels.
We visit these reefs on cruises of four or more days.
THE NORTHERN SWAIN REEFS:
The Swain reefs have been targeted by countless fisherman over the years mainly fishing the southern end. Centurion now gives you the chance to target the northern part of the Swain Reefs. This section of the reef has not been fished as hard as the southern Swains. We target reefs that few vessels have fished increasing the chance of good catches. Due to the extra distances these trips are of seven days and over.
